Her Story

Dr. Katina C. Fuller-Scott, affectionately known as “Hey, Dr. K!”, is a highly regarded leader & expert in leadership, learning, and organizational development. Dr. Katina is not only a dynamic social entrepreneur but also an international speaker, executive coach, strategist, educator, master facilitator, and creative visionary. Dr. Katina leads several initiatives, including BE What Matters® and FORGET LABELS®, that are transforming the landscape of leadership, faith, and social change.

Over two decades ago, Dr. Katina embarked on her journey as a K12 educator, assistant administrator, and principal, gradually evolving into a transformative leader. After 19 years, she assumed the role of a non-profit senior director, overseeing strategy, measurement, and analysis for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. In 2020, Dr. Katina successfully launched BE What Matters®, a trusted personal and professional development company, and a global social purpose community for impact-driven leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers spanning education, faith, nonprofit, government, small business, and corporate spaces.

Dr. Katina’s academic achievements include a B.A. in Middle & High School Education (Lakeland University), followed by advanced degrees and certifications in leadership, including an M.Ed. in Educational Policy & Leadership (Marquette University) and a Ph.D. in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service (Cardinal Stritch University). She is also a certified speaker, coach, and trainer under leadership thought leader, John C. Maxwell, and mentored by personal development thought leaders, Les Brown, and John-Leslie Brown.

As featured in various publications and platforms, Dr. Katina’s unique voice, insights, and strategies have a profound impact, igniting transformation within communities.
